The Sailor's House
The sailor's house is an apartment and it is situated in the old town of La Spezia in the pedestrian area of Corso Cavour, there is possibility if required a parking space in a garage beside the apartment (but not free, not ours)
The apartment is 800 mt from the train station and 200 mt from the mole and ferry boats that travel every day to Portovenere and Le 5 Terre.
The apartment is completly renovated and newly furnished in 2015 , it is situated on the second floor , and it's divided.. entrance into hall and kitchen open space , tv room with big sofa , balcony with table and two chairs , bedroom, bathroom.
All the rooms have air condition, the bedroom and the tv room have tv with Lcd and Sat receiver.
Wi-Fi in every room.
There is a fitted kitchen with fridge, hob, microwave , dishwasher , plates , glasses , and all facililitys.
The sailor's house is in Vico delle mura 23 La Spezia,the apartment is in the old town pedestrian area centre with possibility to park your car in a garage next to the main entrance of the apartment.(but not free,not ours). The apartment is in the heart of the city,where you can find...restaurants,shops, bars wine bars ,supermarkets,theater,and museums. The sailor's house is about 800 mt from the train station,200 mt from the mole and ferry boats that travel backwards and forwards every day to Le 5 terre , 100 mt from the bus stops where you can take buses to Portovenere and Lerici. You can not arrive to the sailor's house by car becouse its a pedestrian area not unless you book a car spaece in the garage next to the apartment.so if you arrive by car put your navigator to route Piazza Chiodo, there you will find many public parking spaces (not free) from Piazza Chiodo to the sailor's house it is only a 3 minutes walk..100 mt.
The city of la spezia...
La Spezia is in the east part in liguria and borders with versilia in tuscany. The city overlooks the sea of the splendid Golfo dei poeti, delimited on the west side with Portovenere and on the est side with lerici.
In the past the economy was based on the military arsenal, but in the last years with the realizations of the recovery of the old town that now has become the storic pedestrian area with shops, restaurants,coffee shops ecc...
The city offers many attractions for our tourists one of the very important realization is the pedestrian bridge that colleagues the center of the city, from where you can admire the beautiful parks or just walking by the front sea and then to the pedestrian bridge to the Porto Mirabello ,which is one of the most important tourists port of the mediterranean.

From the last three years La Spezia has become an important call for cruise ships such as Costa Crociere and Msc that arrive every day..
La Spezia is the perfect starting point from where you can leave to go to le Cinque terre, Levanto, Portovenere and Lerici San Terenzo.
Portovenere and Lerici are very near, you can either go by bus of by ferry boat that you will find in the mole in viale italia front sea.

Le cinque terre are reachable by train or in a suggestive trip by ferry boats where you can admire Le cinque terre by sea.for who loves walking there are many walking trails that connects Le cinque terre between them ,haveing suggestive walks and admiring the the beautiful scenery. (Footpaths)
From La Spezia you can also visit la Lunigiana which is in the hinterland toscana full of history, traditions and its many castles.

Other trips could be...forte dei marmi , Lucca, Pisa, Firenze or the beautiful Portofino. All these places are reachable in an hour by car...
There are many museums to visit such as....Museo del Sigillo, il Museo Navale (Museums), ecc...and also the Castel of St.Giorgio.
The main events of the city are...patron saint day on the 19 of march, that lasts for three days with markets throughout the city ,and the possibility to visit the military arsenal..the sea festival on the first Sunday of August and il Palio del Golfo.
